If Dr. Judson determines that there are difficulties that can be rehabilitated with vision therapy, visual skills testing will be completed. This testing is an additional appointment that looks more in depth at several areas of visual skills. This testing lasts approximately an hour and a half.
This testing looks more in depth at tracking skills, eye hand coordination, visual motor integration, as well as visual information processing. The visual information processing assesses perceptual abilities of visual discrimination, visual spatial relations, visual form constancy, visual memory, visual sequential memory, visual figure ground, visual closure and directionality (letter reversals). Visual processing abilities are extremely important in the classroom and in the workplace.
